Leukotape

Leukotape is BSN Medical’s taping range. We stock both of its families, which answer different techniques and are not interchangeable.

Leukotape Classic is rigid, non-elastic tape in 3.75 cm x 10 m, in white and in colour. It is used in functional strapping: it stabilises the joint by limiting travel in the direction you want to protect. This is the material for ankle sprains, wrist and finger support, and prevention in impact sports.

Leukotape K is the opposite: elastic kinesiology tape in 5 cm x 5 m, with a wave-pattern adhesive, giving support without restricting movement.

The rule for choosing is direct: if the aim is to limit a movement, use rigid tape; if it is to accompany the movement, use elastic. Many sports strappings use both, with the rigid tape over a layer of underwrap to protect the skin.
